Steve West holds two Master’s Degrees in Astrophysics, one from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and the other from Rijksuniversiteit Leiden in The Netherlands; he has published 4 refereed articles and a number of conference proceedings. His incomplete Ph.D. thesis, from The Netherlands, was concerned with aspects of the morphology of The Milky Way Galaxy as shown through, at the time, the most thorough survey of Neutral Hydrogen in our galaxy. He has completed over 2/3 of the requirements for a post-graduate diploma in International Law from Rijksuniversiteit Leiden. He is a Member of the American Mathematical Society and was invited to join their Committee on Technology in Mathematical Education, an honour he had to decline. He is a University  of Cambridge Oral Examiner and has a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults from the same university; he has marked the reading and listening sections of the IELTS examination at the British Council. He used to consult in matters of English and academic theses at IPADE. He has had over 10 years experience helping students, for instance at IPADE, Banco de Mexico and UDLA Puebla, master standardized testing (GMAT & GRE). He has extensive experience teaching English as a Second Language to the Mexican business community.

 

Karla Sanchez holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, in Mexico City. She has previous experience in international trade as well as in compliance activities in the financial sector. Karla provides administrative support to Steve [academic division] by providing information about our services to those who contact us, scheduling appointments, meetings, correspondence with the participants, invoices, reports, and other administrative activities.
